Hey Karen! The bone candies are sweet, and have the taste and texture of sugar cookies. Spain celebrates "All Saints Day" on November 1, which is different from our Halloween and Mexico's Day of the Dead. The huesos santos, as the sweets are called, were sold in the panderias the week before Nov.1. They actually tasted good!
